Transformers Devastation

In Transformers Devastation the aim is to stop Megatron and his  Decepticons from destroying the city.  You can play as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack and Grimlock.  When you engage in combat in the game, as one of these playable characters, you can change their weapons and tech to make then more powerful. This game brings to life some of your favourite  Transformer characters you grew up with as a kid.  The  game allows  you to drive and explore the city and fight many villains.

Transformers Devastation was made by Activision and cocreators of other familiar games such as Skylanders franchise.  There are some similarities to these games.  Even though Skylanders do not transform, they have similar objectives and it is a platforming style  of game.

The objective for this game is to fight the Decepticons and save the city.  You will also need to fight multiple mini boss fights along the way.  In the end you will face off against Megatron who is the final boss, and he is hard to beat.

I love the campaign of Transformers Devastation because it has different chapters and a timer to see how fast you can complete the objectives.  You feel satisfied once you have completed and defeated the villain of the game.

The animation of this game looks crisp and clear and there is great detail to the game and the characters.

I enjoyed playing Transformers Devastation.  The mini boss fights give a taste of what is to come at the end in the big battle and I found that interesting.  The ending of the game, however, feels a bit forced.  It feels like there should have been a bit more to it as the storyline ended too quickly.

In Transformers Devastation you will see the main Transformer  characters come to life and do battle and the game provides good weapon control.  Fighting the villains and saving the day is rewarding when you complete the game in the final battle.  If you are a Transformers fan, then this game is for you.

  1. I would love to replay this game but I don’t have any of the consoles it’s on and I’m pretty sure most of the transformers games were removed from steam, devastation included.
