Adventure Forward 2 – Good Game, Bad Developer

Adventure Forward 2: Points of Conflict is a Roblox platformer developed by Explode1 and released on April 11th, 2017. It is the second game in the Adventure Forward series.

The game takes place 300 years after the first game in the series, Adventure Forward 1: Star Savior. You are summoned by a being known as Cyalm, who believes you are the second coming of the star saviour, the hero who defeated an evil being known as Stratosfear 300 years ago. You are then told about a new evil being called Celesteal, and you are tasked with defeating them and saving the world.

Other than you, all the main characters are celestial beings known as Points. Almost every Point has their own world themed around them.

In Adventure Forward 2, you advance through the game by collecting stars. Said stars can be found in the game’s various worlds, with 4 per world. There are also 16 red coins in each world; collecting 8 of them grants you a red coin star. This brings the star total for each world up to 6. You can talk to the world’s Point when you’ve collected the amount of stars specified by them in order to attempt a challenge course, which is an altered version of the world that you have to make your way through. At the end of the challenge course, you’ll get the symbol of the world’s Point, which allows you to unlock doors to other areas with new worlds. Sometimes, a Point may not be impressed by your parkour skills alone, and will fight you to test your strength before giving you their symbol.

A third game in the series, known as Adventure Forward 3: Vain Revival, was planned, but it was permanently canceled after the main developer, Explode1, had his account terminated due to serious allegations towards him. Multiple attempts have been made to revive the series, but they have all been cancelled or rebranded.

Overall, Adventure Forward 2 is a great game that deserves more recognition. I left out lots of things in this article, like the story and music. So if this game sounds fun, I highly recommend playing it yourself here.
