Is Stormworks a Good Game?

Stormworks is a game where you can save people, behave weirdly, and do much more. Join me in ranting about this game.

The gameplay:

The gameplay is weird at times. There’s damage physics, but not crash physics. You can download stuff from the workshop. You can save people by putting out fires and repairing ships.

Build your ships; that’s hard initially, but you will get the hang of it.

Community:

The Stormworks Community is perfect for this game. There is a 1:1 scale Titanic and probably an AN-225. One more thing: There’s an Iron Giant that you can drive on. The community is great at building Vehicles, except they are not smooth; they are more like rough surfaces for buildings.

Cost And where can you buy:

The Cost is 34.50 AUD. You can buy it on Steam or find a free version online (Warning: Don’t do that). There are DLCs, including weapons, The Industrial Frontier, and Space. The game is still building its community, but in a few years, it will be well-known among gamers. Thank you for reading.

Ideas to expand your article:

Gameplay:

  • Mention the process of building vehicles, rescuing people, and completing missions.
  • Highlight the lack of crash physics but emphasize the damage physics.

Community:

  • Discuss the creativity and support of the Stormworks community.
  • Mention examples like the Titanic, AN-225, and Iron Giant that players can download from the workshop.
  • Explain that community creations focus on functionality, not just aesthetics.

Cost and DLCs:

  • State the game’s price (34.50 AUD) and where to buy it.
  • Mention the DLCs that add new elements, like weapons, the Industrial Frontier, and space missions.

Improvements:

  • I suggest that the building interface be more user-friendly for beginners.
  • Mention the missions can become repetitive and could use more variety.
