Apex Legends

Apex Legends is a first-person shooter where your aim is to kill all players to win. As you get better you can unlock more characters with other different special abilities that can help you win more games and help you get better. Your goal is to use your abilities to help your team to be the champions.

Apex Legends is a unique game because all the characters (legends) have three different special abilities. They all have one tactical ability and one ultimate. The tactical ability is a small ability that every legend has and for most legends is extremely useful. It also only takes a brief time to recharge, so you can use it again in fights. All legends also have an ultimate ability which charges up as you play the match. Most of the characters ultimate is extremely useful for fights, looting or running away. When you first download the game, you cannot unlock all the legends but luckily most of the legends are balanced and none are pay to win depending on which playstyle you like.

To win in Apex Legends, you need to first choose your playstyle. If you like fighting you can choose one of the aggressive characters like pathfinder who can use his tactical (grappler) to get too hard-to-reach places and get there quickly. His ultimate (zipline) is also useful to get in close to fight with your teammates who can ride the zipline as well. If you like to play it passive and only fight when you need to you can use a character like lifeline who has a good tactical ability which is a healing drone which slowly heals you and your teammates and an incredible passive ability which is one of the strongest passives in the game. Lifeline’s drone can revive a teammate on its own, leaving Lifeline free to continue defending, looting, or recovering.

Apex pays a lot of attention to the detail of the game. Even the minor touches just make the game much better. The ping system, I think, is the best pinging system of any game. It is designed so that players within the same team can communicate with each other without having to use voice chat. The tap of a button lets teammates know where they are going on the map and by tapping multiple times you can alert your teammates to threats. I also like the concept of the legends in the game and how you can have multiple choice so you can use your best skills to win games. Overall, in my opinion Apex is an incredibly good game and would personally be up there in my favourite games.

In conclusion, Apex is a great game for people who like to try out unique games. The mechanics are very good and most FPS shooter player will enjoy it a lot. They have very good graphics, and their updates are often enough to keep the game alive.
