Guardians of the Galaxy is an action-adventure, single-player game. GOTG can be played on: Windows, Switch, Xbox and PlayStation. The origin story of the game is 12 years after a massive war that involved or affected nearly every civilization across the galaxy. While the war enveloped the cosmos and involved several factions on different sides, the primary participants were Thanos and the Chitauri going against the Kree and their allied civilizations. The lingering effects of this war are still evident throughout the galaxy, but positivity and the opportunity are on the rise as they begin to heal and recover from the aftershocks of this war. Peter sees this period of healing as an opportunity to do his part to help rebuild the galaxy while making a little bit of money along the way. The developers are Eidos-Montréal. The game was released on October 26, 2021.
The origin of the GOTG begins on, Peter Quill’s 13th birthday, his mother Meredith gives him the Element Gun, left behind by his father, who departed before Peter’s birth to fight a war. That same day, Chitahuri warriors attack the Quill household, kidnap Peter, and kill Meredith. Many years later, Peter becomes a professional soldier named Star-Lord, while leading the Guardians of the Galaxy.
In the gameplay the player takes the role of Star-Lord. The player will have interactions with the other guardians Rocket, Groot, Gamora and Drax in exploration or combat, the player will be able to direct the team while fighting and can even use morale boosts in order to manage social interactions and cheer them on in combat.
There are other Marvel games just like GOTG such as Spider-man PS4, Marvel’s Avengers and Spider-man Miles Morales and we expect that there are more coming soon.
In conclusion, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is the newest Marvel game for this year. Like the movie it is a humorous game with well-developed characters.
