Review of Minecraft

Minecraft is a creative block-building game, and it has many different game modes and mods, so you can customize your experience. One of these game modes is creative. This game mode is a free-play mode, providing you with infinite health and access to nearly every item in the game, allowing you to build or destroy anything you like. Another game mode is survival; this game mode is all about surviving and slowly progressing, doing things like crafting items and mining for different ores.

The first version of Minecraft was released in 2009 by Markus Persson, aka Notch. Java edition was fully released on Linux, Mac and PC on Nov 18, 2011, and Bedrock edition was released on the 16th of August 2011, both by Mojang. In 2014, Microsoft bought Minecraft for $2.5 Billion USD.

Mods are addons for the base game, and there are no shortages of ones for Minecraft. These can include texture packs, new items or updates to pre-existing ones! Sometimes these mods adapt preexisting games into Minecraft, like Pokémon and Sonic.

Terraria is a game that is often compared to Minecraft, but the two are still quite different. Terraria is a 2D game, and it lacks many of the features of Minecraft and has different ones. Another game it’s compared to is Roblox; however, the two aren’t very similar. Roblox is a hosting platform that has a bunch of different games on it. Minecraft also does this, but it is a game at its core not a platform.

As stated before, there are different games you can play on Minecraft, accessible through different servers, where you can interact with other players online. Another way of engaging in multi-player is to invite friends to your world.

Some 1.20 sneak peeks have recently been revealed: these include the cherry grove biome, the sniffer, camels, and a few new blocks. The cherry grove biome will be found at bases of mountains, just like normal grove biomes, and they include a new tree with pink leaves known as the cherry blossom tree. The sniffer was the mob who won the mob vote against the “rascal” and the “tuff golem”. These will not spawn naturally, as players will have to find their eggs and hatch them, which can be found underwater inside of ruined chests, or the new block “suspicious sand”. Camels are the only other new mobs. They are passive and spawn in the desert.

Minecraft is an okay game. You have tons of creative freedom, and you can do whatever you want. It does get boring after a while, but it is good for casually play.
