I don’t know much about gaming, but I do know about Bedwars Roblox. I wanted to write about this game because many gamers unfairly hate Bedwars Roblox. This is because the Bedwars mode first appeared in Minecraft before easy.gg adapted the game mode for Roblox. The movement, the items, events, maps and powers are different but the rules and names are the same.
How do you play this game? When you join the game you have some game modes: 1v1, 4v4v4v4 and 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2. 4v4v4v4 is the default option and most players chose this mode because of its balanced difficulty lever you have teammates The map is also larger which contributes to a (slightly) more relaxed play style. In comparison, in 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2 the game is absolutely chaotic because the map is much smaller. All maps are randomised at the beginning of the match (you can see examples of possible maps below). Finally, the 1v1 game mode can be brutally hard if you’re playing against a talented opponent, or very easy if you match with a noob.
There are also a few unique modes which have a special addition to the normal gameplay. For example, lucky blocks. Lucky blocks are the regular modes with an addition. Lucky blocks are crates where if you break them, they drop a random tool/weapon. You also have acces to a level creator or ranked mode.
In addition to the game modes, there are also Kits that give abilities to the player. Different kits will have different powers. Some kits give you better swords when you defeat opponents, or kits that deal more damage when killing others. When you choose a game mode it will take you to a map that has 4, 2 or 8 bases depending on the mode you choose and a central location. The bed will be at each base and your task is to protect the bed at all costs because the bed will help you revive. You win by finding resources in the map, buying items in store, and after that your team has to break all the opposing teams’ beds and kill all other opponents to win. If the game passes the 20-minute mark, all beds will break to prevent further respawns. After the recent update, the borders of the map now constrict over time, forcing you into a deathmatch with the remaining survivors.
I like this game more than its Minecraft equivalent because it is easy to access and play. If you want to play you don’t have to download it: just go to the Roblox website to play. I’ve also found that the controls are more responsive, making characters easier to control and weapons easier to use. Because you don’t need to download the game, and it’s quite small, there’s usually no lag when playing. When it comes to graphics the maps are quite good and creative. Finally, you can also match with or against your friends more easily.
The reason that this game is not successful is because Minecraft players do not like it. If you play Minecraft Bedwars and you try Bedwars mode on Roblox, you will realise that it is so much different when it comes to the way the characters move or how to break, hit and set blocks. This game is still Minecraft Bedwars but they make it easy to play, interact with the player, and you can play on anything like laptop, phone or PC. Plus they keep adding new events to keep players coming back. Critics of the Roblox version think it’s just a copy of Minecraft, but for me it doesn’t matter if it is a copy or not, if it is a better game or easier to access I will play it.
